Solo and Ensemble Times

 The Solo and Ensemble Times have been announced for Saturday, March 24.  We understand that some of the personnel have changed and some of the titles of songs have changed.  These will be corrected on the day of the event.  

Help Needed for Concessions on March 24

We will be providing a small concession stand for the convenience of those attending Solo and Ensemble competition on Saturday, March 24.  We need a few volunteers to staff the stand in one hour shifts. Spaghetti Dinner

You are enthusiastically invited to join the MRMS Orchestra and Band for our Annual Spaghetti Dinner.

Friday, March 23; 5:30-7:30 PM; MRMS Cafeteria

Pasta, salad, bread, beverage, and dessert included.

Adults $8, Students $5, children 6 and under are free.

Take out is available.

Enjoy an evening filled with live music, delicious food, and wonderful conversation.  All proceeds go toward individual Spring Trip Accounts and the General Fund. Musicians competing in Solo and Ensemble will have an opportunity to publicly perform their Solo and Ensemble pieces prior to the Solo and Ensemble Festival the following day.

Reservation Form and payment are due by Thursday, March 15, or tickets can be purchased at:  http://www.signupgenius.com/go/4090849a9ad28a3f85-spaghetti .  Donations of water and dessert and volunteer opportunities can also be found on this sign up.  If you submit a paper reservation form, an email confirmation will be sent out when your order form and payment are received.

Please note:  You will be asked for the student musician’s name that your reservation was made under when you check in.

Concerts and Rehearsals This Week

We have a busy week ahead in preparation for Festival Assessments next week.  

Tuesday, March 6th, is the Orchestra (including full orchestra) Pre-festival Concert at the high school.  Students should report to the high school auditorium at 6:30.  

Wednesday, March 7th, is the Band Pre-festival Concert at the high school.  Students should report to the high school auditorium at 6:30. 

Full uniforms are required for the performances. 

Five Mornings of Rehearsals start this week also.  In addition to the regular rehearsals, strings students will rehearse on Friday, March 9th; Monday, March 12th; and Wednesday, March 14th. Band will rehearse during their regular days plus Thursday, March 8th, and Tuesday, March 13th. 

The second Spring Trip payments are also due on March 7th.
